What Makes a Great Team (and a Team Great)

There's no one template for a great team. The best teams that I have worked with, have been incredibly different in mixes of experience, technical background, cultural background, bias towards fast vs right, and pretty much any other dimension you can think of. We'll share our stories of the teams we've worked with to build intuition for what great can look like and how you can help teams that you work with get there, whether you're an IC or Manager. I've worked with and managed many kinds of teams at Evernote, Dropbox and Soy Té (a tea company with ~35 employees that my wife and I own). I'm currently Head of Engineering for Machine Intelligence at Dropbox. Excited to share some of my experiences and learn from yours!
