Circle Description
To truly deliver meaningful change to a piece of software, you need to combine many frames of reference. The easiest start is to go deep in a specific area. The next step is to take a high-level view of the whole system. Finally, can you connect both the deep technical details and the high-level architecture to user needs? Such a holistic perspective can help you make contributions that are too good to ignore. I've applied these ideas to my own work, and in the process I've become a core contributor to the Git project and ecosystem. My superpower is that I communicate the connection from the code to the end-user value. This shows up in well-received blog posts, but also in open source contributions that are received well by the community. Let's explore ways to demonstrate the value of your work by expanding your viewpoint. Become a thought leader and shape your team, your organization, and your community.
