I'm Julien, Head of Engineering at Plato, the very platform you are using right now :) I moved from France to the US about a year ago and have been working in software engineering for the last 13 years and leading small to medium teams for the last 10. I come from an atypical background, I studied history and geography and don't have a CS degree. I learned and manage to get to where I am today through hard work and dedication. I had a hard time overcoming the impostor syndrome, having peers or meeting people with great diploma or incredible experiences in a field that I basically learned by myself. 20% of the population is said to be affected by the impostor syndrome or is having issues dealing with legitimacy (Kevin Chassangre and Stacey Callahan, 2017). In this circle, we will have a safe space to share our stories and experiences and hopefully help each other! Looking forward to meet you!
