Managing Up and Out - Tips for growing your career and better supporting your team

Hi! I'm currently an Engineering Leader at Facebook and was most recently the VP of Engineering for Auth0. I have scaled teams from 10 to over 250 people and also have managed highly distributed teams over the last few years while being remote myself. I often find that Engineers and Engineering leaders often overlook the importance of communicating up and out about the work they and their teams do. This is a critical task for your personal career and supporting your teams. Unfortunately, it is also even more important for members of underrepresented groups.
