Sometimes we forget our bosses also need to be managed. Who has the time to develop this working relationship when there are some many things to do? The plain fact is that providing status reports is just not enough and neglecting this aspect can only hinder our progress as engineering leaders. In this circle, we will talk about uncovering this blind spot, understanding the value of managing up, and how to act on it. As a bonus, we will also discuss some strategies to get the feedback that we need to from our reports, peers, and bosses.
