I was homeschooled in rural Idaho, went to college for piano performance, and dropped out to do computers. I've made a career out of doing jack of all trades/early stage operations engineering, with a side scoop of databases; after leaving Facebook, I cofounded a startup building observability and developer tooling. I have little formal schooling but believe people have immense capacity to learn and grow if they are motivated and/or desperate enough
