Do you look forward to your 1-on-1's? Do your team members look forward to theirs? 1-on-1's occupy this interesting place in our work life. On one hand, they could be key to building strong, meaningful relationships. On the other hand, they could feel like yet another meeting on your calendar. How do you find 1-on-1 bliss for everyone involved? I am an engineering manager at Netflix. I consider myself a passionate engineer and a builder at heart. In the last few years, I have discovered my new passion - building teams. Building thriving, impactful teams is a superpower. This Circle is a small effort towards helping develop that superpower for myself, as well as others interested.
