Growing Into an Executive Role

First Session:

Hosted by Bill Press

I'm a seasoned executive with over two decades of experience in software engineering leadership, both as an individual contributor and in management. Over the last 8 years, I have led engineering at two late-stage pre-IPO enterprise SaaS companies, responsible for over 150-person organizations. I have developed numerous leaders into executive roles and have evolved multiple engineering teams from SMB to enterprise grade in terms of both reliability and scale. I also have a strong emphasis on values and culture, including championing high impact DEIB initiatives at multiple companies. I have a PhD in Computation and Neural Systems from Caltech and an academic background that informs a leadership approach grounded in rigor and integrity.

What people are saying about Bill

There are people you'd be happy to work with again, and then there are people who would be on the short list you'd call if you were starting a company or building a new team. Bill is both - at Ripfire I learned a lot from his combination of technical expertise and soft skills.
