Circle Description

So you have an idea, but you aren't getting traction. How do you figure out next steps? How do you build trust with other leaders? How do you find the right problems to solve? Leadership can be a lonely place, but you don't have to deal with these problems alone. Let's get together and talk about tactics that have worked and ones that haven't worked so well. We can dig into what might have gone wrong and I can share some concrete experiences and tactics that have been useful in my own career. About the leader of this Circle: Kent leads Engineering Effectiveness at Yelp. In his role he works with a variety of stakeholders with a variety of needs. These responsibilities span from aiding the CTO and Chief of Staff with engineering metrics to determine engineering strategy to providing support to key product organizations to developing the IC interview pipeline within our talent organization. He was previously involved in helping young women learn more about the tech industry and giving them a head start with the #builtbygirls program and is an active member of the AWE mentorship program at Yelp. Prior to Yelp he served as a US Army officer for four years in various leadership positions from management to director roles.
