Hosted by Andrew McVeigh
Chief Architect at Suvoda
As a mentor with deep experience setting technical direction and architecture, making high profile pivots and correcting technical directions, I'm well positioned to help participants with this Circle. I've seen major successes and a handful of pretty dire failures, and I'm excited to help participants create and maintain a technical vision that lasts. Through a combination of lectures, discussions, and activities, I'll help participants develop the skills they need to make decisions that are in line with their vision. I'm looking forward to helping participants create a technical vision that works and is durable and enticing.
Circle Description
We will show you how to form a strong and durable technical vision, architecture and direction for your company. We'll discuss how to know when the signals are telling you that you need to adjust or pivot it and when is the right time to do that. We'll also discuss when to double down on a vision, and put your neck on the chopping block (so to speak) to ensure that the direction is maintained.
This circle is full.

What makes a Technical Vision last is not that it uses the latest technologies, but that it meets the needs of the customers, leverages the strengths of the company, and provides an incremental and sustainable path to get there. And the balance of the three pillars is what Andrew does so well.
Andrew is a proven technical leader who knows the latest technologies. But he does not start by prescribing the latest technology, he starts by understanding what the customers’ pain points are, and what the strengths of the company is, and then lays out the end point vision and how to get there in an incremental, low risk manner.
And just as important, Andrew then spends time socializing the strategy to get buy in, and answer any questions to address objections. This is what differentiates Andrew’s approach to driving transformational change.
