I am Satish Viswanatham, Senior Director of Engineering at Second Genome. I lead the machine learning infrastructure and IT functions, and am responsible for cloud deployment of big-data analytics, databases powering therapeutic pathway discovery, and multi-omics data pipelines. My team and I collaborate with data science and omics teams to design and implement bioinformatics solutions for analyzing microbial community dynamics. I am passionate about mentorship and Plato, and have identified and recruited a team of super impactful engineers to build a scalable, cost efficient and secure infrastructure. In my free time, I enjoy working with Plato and mentoring young engineering professionals.
