    Hi all, my name is Heemeng Foo. I run Quality Engineering here at RocketLawyer, a pre-IPO series C start-up. I spent almost 12 years at Yahoo and about 15 years as a people manager. I’m passionate about technology and growing teams and people. My first leadership experience was in high school as 2 i/c of a marching band where as a new leader I made a lot of mistakes. I love telling stories drawing from experiences in applied R&D, serving in the army back in Singapore and growing up in Asia and now living here in the US - always being involved in teams either being in one, leading and building them. Hope to hear more stories and share what I know helping new engineering leaders sidestep the pitfalls of leadership and to thrive.
