Book me for Mentorship

Experience: I started mentoring on Plato in October '21, but have mentored for years before that. I have over 20 years in the tech industry where I've held a lot of roles (design, UX, research, program, product, and engineering to name a few), and a lot of levels (IC, manager, and manager of managers). I've worked in B2B and B2C companies in sizes ranging from 10 to 10,000 people, in several different verticals (tech, travel, insurance, e-commerce). I have a penchant for organizational change, and trying out new influencing strategies. I have worked on tech debt programs, eng team reorgs, new product development/launch, acquisition/retention/growth strategies, tech replatforming programs, major migrations, and more. I excel in management above all and transform teams from terrible to high performers in mere months! Coaching style: I promise to be a listener for you. When I speak I'll get right to the point. Sometimes I'll ask you questions, other times I'll tell you what I think depending on your preferences. I like to give advice, but I believe mentors get a lot out of the discussions with mentees; I love learning from you too. My style is full of empathy, but also ready to challenge you where you need it. I'm great at brainstorming, risk mitigation, strategy, and helping you craft your messages to influence the right people. What I look for in a mentee: I like to help people of color and women in tech because I think they are under-represented / under-supported; but that doesn't mean I won't accept your invitation :) The ideal person is someone who wants to find their blind spots, and try out ideas with someone who's been battle tested. I have a great time on these calls but what I like the best about mentoring is that mentees often leave our calls feeling a sense of purpose, having a clear direction, and a smile that wasn't there when they arrived.
