I've been in software for 24 years now and a manager for roughly 18 years. I wrote my last lines of code on the job a little over 6 years ago. I am currently the Director, Productivity Engineering at Netflix and before that, the Sr. Engineering Director of the science group at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. My areas of focus are mentoring, coaching, feedback, process improvements, scaling diverse teams and reinforcing engineering best practices. I rely heavily on humor and transparency! I have worked all over the industry: gaming, broadcast, productivity, engine analysis (gear head at heart) and now my dream job in philanthropy.
