I am an experienced Senior Software Engineering Manager at SchoolMint with 8 years of experience, also a University teacher and a videogame developer. I have lead a group of 6-11 engineers and was responsible of the re-write of the Schoomint product called Enroll in both: management and development. Also was in charge of leading new initiatives to improve the Engineering department overall quality, reduce tech debt, improve code reviews quality, unit tests, interview process, on-boarding process among others. During my 5 year tenure as a Lead Software Engineer, I was responsible for managing a team of 7 engineers, and implementing automation and common tasks with React and Ruby on Rails. I also had the opportunity to advise team members on development techniques, priorities, and processes. In my past roles I worked for a local videogame creation company for several years working for Zynga, Nickelodeon, Disney among other companies products. I strive to ensure a high quality of work, and have a passion for mentoring and nurturing team members.
