Chris Roblee

As an engineering leader and technology generalist, my expertise is in data-intensive systems across several domains, with a primary focus on cyber security. With almost two decades of experience in the industry, I am passionate about creating environments that empower technical teams to achieve results around meaningful objectives while having fun. I enjoy building and retaining highly qualified, diverse teams with varying backgrounds, education, and experience. My most recent role was leading Platform Engineering at Scratch, a Fintech startup that provides a product to help borrowers manage, understand, and repay their loans. Before that, I served as Director of Engineering in Cisco's Cloud Security division and Head of Engineering at TruSTAR, a threat intelligence platform that was acquired by Splunk. I have been a proud member of the Plato community since its early days, and it has significantly influenced my leadership career for the better. I am excited to be an active member of this genuinely great mentor network. My experience in the industry has given me a wealth of knowledge and battle scars that I believe can empower other aspiring and growing tech leaders. I have learned valuable lessons from my successes and failures and have developed a keen sense of what it takes to lead and inspire teams to achieve their goals. I am passionate about sharing my experiences and insights with others. When I'm not busy with professional pursuits, I enjoy traveling, exploring the outdoors, and brewing beer at home. I am based in San Francisco and love exploring the Bay Area's many hiking trails and skiing the slopes around Lake Tahoe.
