I am very glad that there is an organized platform like plato to offer mentorship to you in order to succeed through your various questions/ challenges with a holistic mindset. I always felt something like this would be very helpful and to let out a secret, even entertained an idea of building one of my own. As humans, we are generally more focused on the trees (the here and now) and overlook the forest (big picture). I have personally benefited from changing my perspective to reap good growth in my career. I always wished that I had sought out someone who had "been there, done that" to provide me valuable career inputs and a different perspective. I can teach you strategy with both top down and bottom up approaches and help you deal with ambiguity in your engineering career. More often than not, engineers are attached to "data don't lie" attitude but I have realized over my career that depending solely on quantitative data (which maybe incomplete) without regard for qualitative inputs is a recipe for short term thinking. Personally, I like to provide you a different way of thinking through a problem, nudge you to explore stretch goals and optimize on your weaker dimensions ( Career goals, tools needed, gaps between now and your ideal role, networks that need to be built, managing up/down, technical strategy, measurement of progress, etc). We would probably be a good fit if you had a growth mindset and willing to look at things in a more holistic way.
