Yahia Tachwali is a Senior Software Manager at Latitude AI. His focus is on applying advanced statistical methods to accelerate the development of the autonomous driving stack. He is also the chair of IEEE signal processing society of Princeton/Central Jersey Chapter. He was the lead of statistical signal processing and algorithms at Argo AI developing autonomous driving technologies. He also worked as principal signal processing engineer at Skysafe leading the reverse engineering activities for the wireless stack of drones and Expert R&D engineer at Keysight/Agilent technologies developing simulation solutions for next gen physical layer designs of wireless protocols. Before working in industry, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the Broadband Wireless Networking Laboratory at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA. He received his B.E. degree in Electronics Engineering with First Rank distinction from Aleppo University, Syria in 2003. He received his M.S. degree in Mechatronics from American University of Sharjah, UAE in 2005. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 2010. He has over 20 scientific publications and 8 patents and pending patents in the field of computational imaging and lidar signal processing. His current research interests include statistical signal processing, cognitive radio architectures, software radio, and more recently computational imaging, machine learning for autonomous driving applications.
