Xavier Tous Guri

I am a computer engineer in love with the technological world since adolescence. I have experienced new technologies, advances, new applications and new ways of communicating first-hand, always interested in understanding what was behind them. Automotive, video games and robotics are the three sectors that I am personally passionate about. During my professional career I have had the opportunity to grow having different roles, all associated with the development of software and technologies. I started as a full stack software developer (at that time the concept did not exist 0_0), technical lead, lead engineer, engineering manager and currently CTO. Each new role has allowed me to learn different things and continue growing. Although I have moved myself into positions wit more management than technical specialization, I do not run away from it and I love being part of the technical debates and discussions that take place around me. A good plan is a must and its strategic vision something essential to achieve it, even if it cannot be fulfilled and you have to redo it a thousand times (setting the objective is the first step to achieve it). I have learned that a good methodology is essential whether it is for managing your time, your mail, software development or executing a strategic vision. I believe that people are the most important piece of any project. Surrounding yourself with the best and learning from them is essential to succeed and continue growing. I have been lucky enough to surround myself with smarter people at every moment of my life and from all of them I have tried to learn as much as possible (both soft and hard skills).
