Hi everyone! My name is Petra Hofer and most recently, I was Director of Innovation and Transformation at eBay, where I led a team of 40 people. (What does that mean? Well, think Agile/Lean/Design Thinking and now forget about the process and methodology, and just focus on the outcome you're trying to achieve, and what you can learn) I started my career as a software engineer and have worked in companies of all sizes, from 5 people to the size of IBM. I moved from an IC role to becoming an engineering manager, and a manager of managers, and I also spent time working as Chief of Staff role to CTOs -- a role which had very little to do with technology and definitely stretched and challenged me.
