Manager of ICs
I’m Paul Onakoya. I’m originally from Lagos, Nigeria, moved to the US in 2002 for a computer science major at Howard University, and started my career at Microsoft in 2006 after graduating. I’m currently an Engineering Manager at Netflix focusing on the Website (netflix.com). I manage a Dev. Productivity team that builds internal tools for Website engineers and manages operations for the Website. I’ve been at Netflix for almost 2 years and prior to Netflix I was at Microsoft (in Redmond, WA) for 11 years. I know, I know, what was I thinking! I’ve been a people manager for about 6 years and I truly enjoy helping engineers grow in their career. I’m excited to be joining Plato to mentor even more people and I’m equally looking forward to learning from the mentees. I’m also very excited to grow my network in the Bay Area with other Plato mentors. Hopefully, I’ll get to meet a few of you soon. Feel free to reach out if you want to connect.
