Hey folks!I’m Jack Hirsch, Senior Director of Product for Core Content @ Box. Previously, I was co-founder and CEO @ Butter.ai (which was acquired by Box), VP of Product and Eng for Desktop @ Evernote, and before that, a software engineer at both startups and big companies. I’ve PM’ed quite a few projects, managed quite a few engineers, interviewed a ton of folks, raised money from top tier investors and sold a company. I love helping others by sharing what I’ve learned along the way and I’m excited to learn from you all too!

Hey, I'm available every Monday at 11:00 PM (GMT)

Butter.ai (acquired by Box)

May 2016 - Jul 2018

\- Made an AI thing and named it after a Rick and Morty character. Unlike the character, Butter.ai isn't sentient… yet. \- Butter.ai is great at finding work documents in apps like Google Drive and Box. However, it’s a terrible driver. \- Launched Butter.ai with the greatest team in the history of mankind. Yes, even better than Bruce Willis’ team in Armageddon. \- Our stellar investors include General Catalyst, Slack and other sci-fi fans.

VP of Product and Engineering for Desktop

Jan 2012 - Feb 2016

\- Reduced ambient global stupidity by exactly 8,237%. \- Led a 2012 redesign (as the PM) of the Mac app and Apple gave my team a glowing silver thing. \- Built the world's best consumer scanner. Shredder sold separately. \- Hired amazing PMs, engineers and designers. Had the best retained product teams at Evernote. \- Contributed to the "Joke of the Day" portion of meetings. Funny at least 50% of the time. Head of Desktop Products - 2013 Product Manager of Evernote Mac - 2012

Senior Financial Analyst MBA Intern, Investor Relations

Agilent Technologies

Jan 2011 - Jan 2011

\- Helped the executive team understand their sell-side numbers. The CFO once said "thank you." \- Turned down lots of free meals from nosy analysts. Impressed, SEC?

Lead Interactive Developer

MSHC Partners

May 2009 - May 2010

\- Developed web apps for cool causes like the new GI Bill, the UN Foundation, and American Idol.

Tech lead / Marketing lead / Coffee-runner Extraordinaire

Dec 2007 - May 2009

\- Launched an online travel planning startup that debuted at the TechCrunch 50 conference in 2008. \- It turns out 2008 wasn't the best time to help people plan vacation travel.

Application Engineer

Oracle (RightNow Technologies was acquired)

Dec 2005 - Dec 2007

\- Built our CRM software into whatever our sales team said it was. \- Made Nike, Nikon, Vodafone (ES), British Telecom (UK), Tata (India), and Foster’s (AU) happy. \- Oracle found out how happy our customers were and bought RightNow Technologies.

CEO, Co-Founder, Software Engineer

Agatra, Inc.

Aug 2005 - Mar 2007

\- Built a super cool web-based application that stores login credentials and automatically logs users in to sites around the web. \- Thousands of users also thought it was super cool. Too bad it wasn't millions.

System Administrator Intern

America Online

Mar 2004 - Aug 2004
