Hi everyone! It's great to be here :) My name is Bernardo and I'm currently the CPO of GetNinjas. We're the leading local services marketplace in LATAM, with a business model similar to Thumbtack in the US: we connect clients with service providers for hundreds of types of services, from plumbers to photographers. Before joining GetNinjas, I worked at Monashees Capital, one of the main VC firms in Brazil (and one of our investors). My background is in data/analytics - I structured the data pipeline that now processes over 1 billion events per month and helps us make smarter product decisions. We're based in São Paulo, Brazil - let me know if you're in town and I'll be happy to meet! Oh, and I'm a glider pilot in my free time! :)

Hey, I'm available every Tuesday at 9:30 PM (GMT)

Investment Team

Monashees Capital

Aug 2012 - Aug 2013

Worked directly with Monashees’ partners to evaluate investment opportunities in technology and assist portfolio companies in strategic decisions. I worked closely with the portfolio CEOs to structure investment decks, build financial models, and work on varied projects – from customer retention strategies for a software-as-a-service to projecting working capital needs for an e-commerce.

Summer Job

Aug 2011 - Aug 2011

Worked with the CEO and management team on the initial stages of the company. I analyzed the Brazilian tax system to reduce costs in the ecommerce operation, mapped local suppliers and partners, analyzed market trends to determine the initial product mix and developed a model to evaluate logistics solutions.

Summer Job

Jul 2011 - Jul 2011

Re-engineered HR processes and built a solution to improve timesheet management. This short project reduced from 40h/month to 2h/month the time needed to process the entire factory's payroll, with ~700 workers.

Team Lead

Workshop Integrativo

Oct 2009 - Aug 2010

Managed the team responsible for the 20th edition of Workshop Integrativo, the largest and most important career fair in the State of São Paulo. The event had 56 participating employers and 4,600 visitors, with a total budget of over R$ 500k. My responsibilities involved coordination of sales, marketing, strategy, IT and finance.

Personal Project

FS Station

Aug 2005 - Sep 2008

Lauched, promoted and monetized an aviation website with < R$100 initial investment. It was this personal project that first sparked my interest in entrepreneurship and technology. In two years, the website’s had more than 1 million unique visitors.
