Manager of ICs
Hi all! I'm Arjun. I describe myself as an entrepreneur and product/engineering leader with 11 years of work experience including 8 as a leader, and 4 as leader of leaders. This doesn't include my young entrepreneurial pursuits which landed me in legal troubles with corporate America :). I currently manage a team of customer-facing engineers at AWS based in SF. My team is made up of Principal Engineers who've pivoted their careers into helping others build amazing software on cloud. Prior to AWS, I ran Pivotal Labs, a product development consultancy where my amazing team of Managers, PM, Designers, and Engineers helped built software for blitzscaling startups and Fortune 500 and coached them in Kent Beck's XP practices. Prior to that, I worked with T-Mobile, Coupons.com, and VMware during hypergrowth periods, leading engineering teams, and building enterprise + consumer software scaled for millions of users. I started my first company at age 15; a content portal for wrestling fans, which ran for 2 years. I then ran a sports league and built a web app to build off-pitch engagement - we grew from 20 pickup players to 2,000. I am a huge believer in autonomy, mastery, and purpose. I love exchanging stories, learning, and giving back lessons learned and best practices I've experienced in my journey. Feel free to reach out!
Sorry, I am not currently available for mentoring sessions.
